5 Signs of Career Burnout
You can’t Sleep
You are noticing changes in your sleep hygiene. You are restless at night and all your thoughts are consumed with stress. You use to look forward to the time your head hit the pillow and now it feels like a consistent appointment with your anxiety.
Drained of Energy
You suddenly find yourself canceling plans or staying in. You don’t have the energy to socialize with your friends or desire to anymore. The things that you use to bring you joy suddenly feel like they take a ton of effort and motivation you just don’t have.
Displaced Anger or Increased Irritability
You are always on edge. At any moment, you could just blow up on your partner or whoever is unlucky enough to be around as collateral damage.
Loss of Passion
You use to love going to work. It was a place you were proud of. Not only do you dread going but, you resent being there. Suddenly, you're counting down the minutes from the moment you get to your desk. Your weekends are consumed with dread that Monday is around the corner.
Hopelessness
You feel stuck. You find yourself wondering how people make it their whole lives in the same job and begin calculating the years until you can retire only to be disappointed.
Make the call to end your Career Burnout
Lack of work-life balance is the new pandemic. The young professional culture means working longer hours and experiencing career burnout multiple times by the time they reach 35.
